A letter from Her Majesty the Queen informs them that there have been incidents of healthy people turning into deformed forms and dying in southern Germany. Ciel and Sebastian go to the area to inquire about the case and find that the local people believe it is a “witch’s curse”. The survivors are told that they were frightened by werewolves.
Ciel and his friends go to the cursed village and meet Sullivan, the lord of the forest. Sullivan gives them special permission to stay at the Green House for the night. Ciel and Sebastian go to the misty forest at night, and as they walk through the forest, they both can’t stop crying. Then, their faces and bodies swell up, just like those of the strange deaths, and they are rescued by Sullivan. Although his life is not in danger, Ciel is blinded and becomes delirious. Her wounds heal, but she rejects Sebastian and becomes a child again.
In his subconscious, Ciel confronts himself and reaffirms that his original purpose, revenge, is for his own good, and he returns to the original Ciel. Ciel regains his senses and rushes to find the cause with Sebastian and his friends. They discover that what Sullivan thought was a curse or magic was the poison gas “Sarin”. Sullivan was tricked by the villagers into creating a poison gas weapon.
Ciel has Sebastian erase the instructions on how to make the poison gas. With the help of a servant and a friend of his father’s, Ciel and the others escape with Sullivan. Back in London, Sullivan obeys the rules of England and goes to Ciel and Her Majesty the Queen. Sullivan will continue to use his extraordinary talents to invent good, not evil, inventions for the benefit of people around the world.
8. “Blue Order” version (comics vol. 22, no. 109 – vol. 25, no. 125)
Ciel receives a letter from Her Majesty the Queen saying that the Sphere Music Hall is a place where men and women of all ages, from aristocrats to workers, are enamored and that parties without status are suspicious. Ciel also hears that Elizabeth has run away from home after having her fortune told and has not returned from the music hall. Ciel and Sebastian go to the party to investigate.
The fortune teller (bravat) whom Elisabeth had her fortune read instantly discovers that Sebastian is not human and expels him from the party. Ciel spoke with the fortune teller, who told him that the blessings of the four stars existed and that Ciel was a rare Sirius and gave him a bracelet. Further investigation reveals that on the fourth Saturday of the month, there is a time for live music called Carols of Celebration, and everyone is into it. Ciel goes undercover to investigate a meeting that is reserved for those who have bracelets. It was like a planetarium and many people fell asleep and gave him lots of sweets on the way home.
After the meeting, Sebastian tells Ciel about a dead body he heard about in the city that is too beautiful. Sebastian also finds needle marks on Ciel’s arm, which he hypothesizes may have been used for a blood transfusion after the blood was drained. Sebastian disguises himself as a live wardrobe assistant and sneaks into the music hall. After confirming that he has collected the participants’ blood, Sebastian takes Elizabeth home. However, Elizabeth escapes from the third floor and returns to the music hall.
Ciel decides that if they are so enthralled by the live music, they should do the music hall themselves. Ciel gathers his friends to form an idol unit called “Phantom Five”. The toy confectionery company shows its true colors, attracting attention to the live show and making it a huge success. In fact, Ciel’s real goal is not to make the show a success, but to induce blood loss and death by reducing the amount of blood drawn from the Sphere. Sebastian successfully had a newspaper reporter take pictures of him burying the bleeding corpse (a body that was too clean) and publicize it to the world.
Ciel then gets word that a second Sphere Music Hall has been built in the spa town, and goes with Sebastian to investigate the site. They arrive at the front where they are forcibly drained of blood, but are told that the bravat has returned to London, and Ciel and his friends have to turn back.
